I started working with Michelle Gardner when my wife and I were having marital problems. My wife and I decided to see Michelle separately at first, upon Michelle’s recommendation.
This was a very good idea, as we both had some issues we needed to discuss and work out for ourselves before we went together. From my first visit with Michelle she made me feel comfortable, allowing me to open up and express myself.
She helped me put things into perspective, and made me realize things were not so bad, and I have the power to make significant changes rather quickly, which I did.
It made an immense difference after only a couple of sessions. Future sessions provided more clarity on what I needed to work on as a person, husband and father. Michelle was very holistic in her approach and looked at all aspects of my health, which I can appreciate, being a health care professional myself. We discussed my diet, sleep, medications, low energy and medical diagnosis of depression and OCD. She put me in touch with other health care professionals which made an amazing difference.
When the time was right my wife and I saw Michelle together, after we had each had a few sessions on our own. Michelle challenged us to be open in our communication in the sessions and at home, which has made a world of difference. We always leave our sessions feeling challenged (in a good way), less stressed and ready to carry out our homework which Michelle has given us.
We both plan to continue seeing Michelle, to work on our marriage and own personal issues as well. I am thankful for having found a counselor which has helped me in my life, and I am sure, will continue to help me in the future.
“Michelle creates both a physically and emotionally serene environment from which one can open their heart and mind. As a result, I was able and willing to share and examine my inner-most thoughts without reservation.
Her gentleness and insightful guidance has helped me attain new perspectives on myself and my life. Michelle is very considerate and mindful of my concerns and feelings. She listens. She truly listens. I find this so invaluable.”
Hi Michelle, I just wanted to acknowledge your assistance over the last few months and say thank you.
You displayed a professional, yet friendly attitude. Your insight, understanding, and suggestions have proved to be most valuable. You’re a great listener and I appreciate your patience as I struggled to find and express myself. Although we didn’t achieve my initial goal, I can confidently say I’m much happier now than I thought I could be.
Thank you so very much
